Effect of Watching Porn Video for Teens’ Life

Today, porn video becomes public consumption not only for adult but also for teens. It can be seen from one study cited (v. disebutkan) in the London media saying as much 42% of internet users ages 10 to 17 said they viewed porn online in the past 12 months. In Indonesia, based on Seto Mulyadi, Chief of Indonesian Comision Children Right, it was known that 97% from 4500 teens were recognized (v. diketahui) to have watched porn video. This habit has grown (v. tumbuh) and spred (v. tersebar) over society. It is caused by hormone of puberty hitting (v. melanda) teens. Actually it is not only the influence of the hormone but also it also comes from teens having big curiousity for a new thing.

Actually, watching porn video for teens has a long and short term effect. Long term effect happens to brain and short term is to reproduction health and sexual behavior (n. perilaku).

There are five crucial parts in brain to porn watching, i.e. Orbitofrontral Midfrontal, Insula Hippocampus Tempral, Nucieus accumbens, Patumencingalute, dan Cerebelum. When someone watches porn video, one of them will potentially be damaged. A part in someone’s brain taking an important role when watching porn is prefrontal cortex. Prefrontal cortex controls personality, morality, and decision making. It will produce dufamin or lust (n. nafsu) full hormone. Dufamin is inveterate (adj. bersifat candu) in an individual’s life, so a porn watcher can become an addictive consumer.

Meanwhile, the effect for reproduction health comes to excessive production of several hormones, such as Dophamine, Neuropiniphrin, Serotonin and Oksitosin. Those are hormones that drive a person to have addictive condition, especially to porn consumption behavior. For sexual behavior, excessive (adj. berkelebihan)  production of hormone can transform teens to experience “adventurous sex”, sex behavior that belongs to those acting sex in crime. Usually, they are looking for someone to rape (v. dicabuli) when they reach maximal desire of lust.

Today, very few parents ever bring themselves to talk to their children about sex. To help, the teens parents can begin with talking about sex, not sex education. Reaching this technological era, talking about sex for some parents in some families is still a taboo because of including some verbal adult content. Parents should dedicate themselves to try to help their children openly, honestly, and privately in their intimate (adj. dekat) relationships, whereas (adv. mengingat) sex education is done only once and short in time. That is really not enough to create intimate relationships beetween parents and children. Parents should make it as intense as it is needed.

As a conclussion, watching porn video is strongly prohibited especially for teens. It causes many negative impacts for them as young as well as future generation.
